Splunk is seeking a strong product leader to drive the definition, development, and launch of critical improvements to our cloud app platform to enable customers to self-service install, configure, and manage apps on their Splunk Cloud instance. The app ecosystem is a key factor to how customers collect, analyze, and ultimately get value from their data and thus Splunk. As such, we need to enable users to browse from any of our 2000+ apps, click to install, and have that app reliably deployed across the Cloud topology.
As the Product Manager – you will have product ownership over how apps are installed, configured, updated, and deleted from the platform. Splunkbase has 1000+ apps and add-ons from Splunk, our partners and our community. This entails responsibility for both key aspects of the developer framework to enable 1st and 3rd party developers with clear APIs to build configuration workflows and install hooks, but also the backend service logic for how apps get deployed, configured and updated across the Splunk Cloud topology.
You are organized, positive, creative, analytical, and focused on the customer and partners at all times. You know when to make decisions and when to ask questions. This is an execution-focused role: You maintain a strong long-term vision that aligns with the product strategy. At the same time, you are committed to improving the end-user experience at every step of the way. This requires a customer-focused product management professional with excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of success.

As with any fast-growing company, day-to-day responsibilities will span across the various phases of product management and include deep interaction with customers, sales, design, and engineering.
You are a hands-on product manager who can execute and evangelize a game-changing vision for Splunk’s end users. In this role, you will iron out highly complex problems, gain insight into customer challenges, establish business goals and increase Splunk’s adoption across our customer base. Everything you build will need to be tracked, measured and reported. You will be key to evolving Splunk’s value chain in the cloud marketplace and to impact our top-line growth.
