Splunk’s People Operations Team (SPOT) is a global team of Human Resources (HR) professionals passionate about the Splunk employee experience. We help to support HR programs spanning the employment lifecycle from onboarding new talent to offboarding loyal alumni and all the moments that matter in the middle. We’re looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will help support compliance, communication, and operations efforts. You’ll collaborate with team members across the globe to build out internal processes that deliver outstanding employee experiences.

As a People Operations Coordinator, you’re responsible for helping to support:
Compliance. You’ll help us stay compliant with local, state, and federal regulations by providing I-9 assistance, managing the Compliance Poster Program, and compliance-related audit support, as needed.
Operations. You’ll help process and maintain employee paperwork and digital employment records. You’ll assist in developing and improving people operations processes. You’ll also respond to requests for employment verifications as well as help with HR data transactions via our HRIS.
Communications. You’ll help keep our global SPOT Team in the know and organized by coordinating team meetings, creating monthly meeting slide decks, as well as updating our weekly Voice of the Employee survey results. You’ll also collaborate with our SPOT designated communications point person to keep our Splunkers well-informed on our people programs and practices.
Projects. You’ll assist with special projects that help with our continuous improvement efforts.

Communication skills: You have excellent listening skills, paying careful attention to concerns and questions from employees, candidates, alumni, internal teams, and external partners. You possess strong written and verbal communication skills. You handle confidential information in a mature and professional manner.
Problem-solving skills: You assess and answer employee requests/inquiries and follow through to resolution. You work well under pressure and can meet tight deadlines.
Detail-oriented: You have meticulous attention to detail, picking up on errors before they become a larger issue. You possess superb organizational and time management skills.
Interpersonal skills: You work well in a team environment and connect with people from various backgrounds and experiences.
Technical Experience. You are technically proficient with Google Suite, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint. You have experience with an HRIS, preferably Workday.
Education & Experience. You’ve earned a Bachelors’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field or equivalent work experience. You have one year of experience as an HR Coordinator, preferably 18 months to 2 years experience. You have functional knowledge of HR with hands-on HR administration skills, preferably understanding of and or experience working in people operations.
