Splunk is currently seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to join our presales team as a Partner Technical Manager (Security) in the UK.

This is an opportunity to work at a company that is changing the way information supports business decisions.

As a Splunk Partner Technical Manager (PTM), you’ll be the technical sales resource for the UK Sales team supporting our Partners and Clients across the region. This role has a specific focus on Security where you’ll be the subject matter expert for our partners both in terms of the technical aspects of our products and how they fit within a modern security team.

A PTM must be comfortable building rapport with technical resources and augmenting the account team, serving as a trusted advisor within the partners and the accounts that they touch. Developing and owning technical strategies to accelerate opportunities, as well as drive product adoption and enablement.

All Splunk Sales Engineers answer technical questions from customers, and partners regarding Splunk technology, features, solutions, applications as well as articulating Splunk technology and product positioning to both business and technical contacts. In addition, the PTM needs to drive technical direction and enablement within the partners that they support.

Responsibilities:

  • Adept at designing solutions and scoping proof events using Splunk products and Services that align with partner’s desired business outcomes and demonstrate quantifiable, measurable value
  • Ability to demonstrate Splunk products and services to partners on site, remotely via webinar sessions, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows.
  • You should have experience with discovering operational pains and determining value with customers.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle not only with our partners, but also internally with the UK account teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide technical expertise in the security arena and be the go-to person for partners.
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record in technical software sales and knowledge of technology.
  • Strong presentation skills and be able to communicate clearly and professionally to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports.
  • Work closely with the presales team and presales management to develop and continually improve working practices, best practices, presales processes.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record with Splunk (or competitive) Security products
  • Security domain experience and expertise.
  • Partner management experience
  • Proactive and self-sufficient personality, who is not afraid to own strategies and drive engagements with partners and customers. As well as bridging the gap between the partners and the account teams.
