Role Summary

One of the most important ways that the Splunk brand comes to life is through video and animation. The motion graphics editor will create emotional brand storytelling through a variety of animation, video, and motion graphics projects for events, campaigns, social media, advertising, and on the web. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Production Studio, you will help create emotional visual experiences that engage with our customers and coworkers. Your work will include web animations, social media animated banners, animations for videos, animated ads, event experiences, animated shorts, and a variety of other video and digital experiences. Our ideal candidate has a vast understanding of all video and animation software including 3D and AI enabled systems. What you'll get to do

  • Creating animation and motion graphics for all our brand and creative projects, from web banners to explainer videos and event keynotes.
  • Establishing our motion graphics standards as part of our brand design system and guidelines.
  • Using animation to improve our customer-facing assets across all channels and platforms.
  • Partner with our brand and creative team to create interactive storytelling experiences.
  • Explore the latest best practices for animation and motion graphics and help integrate improvements across our creative team.
  • Flex to help all brand teams including web, campaign, production, events, and advertising.

Must-have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, animation, or associated field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of motion graphic design, animation, and event production experience working on a large SaaS/Tech brand either in-house or agency
  • A deep understanding of video programs such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, 3D animation programs, Figma animation plugins, and other animation and video editing software.
  • A love of video and animation. Someone who is excited to explore new trends and find ways to bring our brand to life in a variety of experiences.
  • The ability to create animated content that explains advanced technology in ways that excite and engage customers, yet maintains our brand standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to work as a member of a team and can prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • A portfolio of work examples that show your video and animation talent.
  • Fluency in English

Base Pay Range

Costa Rica

Base Pay: CRC 27,200,000.00 - 37,400,000.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
