IT Project Management Intern (Summer 2021)

Role:

Splunk is rapidly building out its IT Infrastructure capabilities to ensure we support the continued growth of the company. We are seeking an IT PMO intern to partner with our Project Management, Engineering teams and Change Management teams in planning and delivering on key IT initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with diverse partners to  drive the technology components for IT. You will be tasked with a short term project that will contribute to real-life improvements with high impact. You will partake in all aspects of project management including planning, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, scope and definition.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive delivery of key project deliverables and coordinate with all key project stakeholders. 
  • Craft reports for IT leadership on key Security and IT initiatives 
  • Develop and maintain key project documentation such as project plans, charter, etc.
  • Provide timely updates and elevate critical risks to project and management teams.
  • Partner with managers to understand resource availability and cross-team dependencies 

Requirements

  • Solid organizational skills, including prioritization and time management
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to summarize and communicate important data
  • You enjoy working well with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent leadership skills that enhance project team effectiveness

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree (graduation date of Dec. 2021 or later)
