Role:
The Global Security Coordination Center (GSCC) Team Lead will actively monitor multiple physical security systems, to include access control and CCTV, to identify risks and threats to Splunk employees, assets, and executives. You will lead a team of operators as they monitor news events and intelligence sources to serve as the first line of defense for Splunk Safety and Security. You will advise appropriate partners of identified risks & threats and assist with incident coordination and documentation. You will use Splunk’s emergency mass notification system to account for Splunkers during or after a security incident and be the one-stop-shop for all Splunk security questions and concerns. You will support all Splunk locations globally and work with other elements of Splunk Safety & Security, to include Risk Intelligence, Health & Safety, and Security Operations, to help keep Splunkers safe at work and during business travel.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as lead for shift operations to include scheduling and answering operator questions
- Assist with training new operators and providing ongoing training for existing operators
- Actively monitor alarms and video equipment to include door alarms, duress buttons, intercoms, and CCTV
- Track monthly metrics on GSCC performance
- Participate in Safety & Security incident response by leading the GSCC’s efforts to notify the incident commander, build a forum for all partners to communicate, provide timely incident updates, and detail the incident in the system of record
- Find opportunities for business process improvement
- Collaborate with other departments and partners (such as Splunk Global Security, Facilities, Legal, HR, and IT) to resolve security threats or incidents
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in a security role
- Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
- Strong customer service and social skills and ability to collaborate across business units to accomplish assigned tasks
- Demonstrated experience working in a diverse, complex, and dynamic environment with competing demands
- Great demeanor and partner-facing attitude, including being reliable, effective, collaborative and efficient
- Passionate about building and maintaining a safe and secure work environment for all Splunkers
