We are seeking an inventive & creative Cloud guru to join our Global Strategic Alliances team focused on Cloud. You will guide and direct strategy and execute efforts required to build business and technical alliances with leading Cloud providers.

Role:

You will work as part of the Splunk Global Strategic Alliance team to design, launch and support a plan to accelerate and scale the growth of our business with emerging Splunk partners delivering Cloud services. In this role you are responsible for driving business development, sales and marketing programs with Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform resulting in additional Splunk revenue & hyper growth. You are passionate about and have experience working with Cloud providers that are ground breaking technology and should expect to handle day to day interactions with Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities:

You will be the main point for MS Azure and/or GCP. Your primary functions will be to 1) develop a strategic plan and roadmap that expands Splunk’s ecosystem and reach with select Cloud partners, 2) target and develop relationships and drive programs to create customer value and revenue expansion, 3) extend the Splunk brand into the cloud market and service mix through further innovation and idea creation.

You will also be expected to:

  • Collaborate with product and technical teams to make recommendations and drive new product integration & innovation.
  • Collaborate with marketing and make recommendations to drive new programs and events.
  • Collaborate with sales to define and execute partner GTM plans and facilitate regular progress checkpoint reviews.
  • Stay ahead of competition, competitive issues and products in the Cloud eco-system.
  • Attend, participate and prepare presentations for sales meetings, product seminars, trade shows, and executive meetings.
  • Identify specific customer segments and industry verticals to approach with a joint value proposition for using Splunk in the Cloud.
  • Travel as required; provide training and support partners

Qualifications:

You will have 7+ years of experience in business developer or strategic account sales within enterprise software and cloud space. In addition you will have:

  • 5+ years of experience working Cloud and Cloud partner eco-systems including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Documented track record for creating strategic, high value programs with Cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Experience in introducing a new software solutions to the Cloud market and creating a technical partner ecosystem.
  • Ability to quickly evaluate, understand and translate the technical and business value of partner solutions within the Cloud ecosystem and educate the field on these values.
  • A reputation for exceeding quota/goals and MBOs.
  • Management, interpersonal, written and presentation skills.
  • Experience with hyper-growth companies and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience.
  • Located in Seattle or the SF Bay Area
