Executive Communications Intern (Summer 2021)

Role

The Splunk executive communications team is looking for an enthusiastic and organized self-starter to join our team as an intern. As a member of the team, you learn the day in the life of our executives and their comms leaders through helping on executive communications projects including presentation engagements, written materials and social media copy, employee communications planning, research and team operational support. You’ll also have an opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across the company to enable Splunk’s leaders to tell the Splunk story.

Responsibilities

  • Support executive engagements (scoping conversations, developing briefing documents, attending prep sessions with exec, attending the engagement)
  • Benchmark other leadership communications and programs across peer and cross-industry organizations
  • Help with operational materials including message scaling materials and guides

Skill Requirements

  • Organized and articulate, with impeccable attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills
  • Undergraduate with 1-2 years of writing and editing experience 
  • Team player who is willing to pitch in on a variety of projects
  • Strong project management skills; deadline driven and able to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Curious and excited to learn

Education Requirements

  • Currently pursuing their Bachelor’s degree
