Engineering Manager - Incident Response Solutions

As a Manager of the Splunk On-Call team, you will lead the development and maintenance of our highly scalable, real-time notification and collaboration services that support thousands of organizations. As the Engineering Owner of the team you will be responsible for the end-to-end development, security, quality, and release of new features helping users all around the globe support their systems. You will collaborate with our product, security, support, and sales team to understand how our customers use Splunk On-Call in order to help drive new features.

In this role, you will:

  • Hire and develop an engineering team, focused on making our industry leading technology even more valuable to our customers.
  • Diagnose and resolve systemic obstacles that prevent your team from delivering high-quality software.
  • Partner with your manager, architect, product manager, and peers to ensure alignment of your team’s work in delivering product improvements to customers.
  • Champion an atmosphere of continuous improvement by serving as a coach, mentor, and technical advisor.
  • Plan and support career development.
  • Recruit and retain top talent.
  • Be an advocate of scalable and extensible, recoverable, manageable architecture for Core products and services.

Ideal Experience:

  • Experience leading engineering teams working on large scale data pipelines, CI/CD infrastructure and processing systems
  • Experience developing and delivering scalable systems software solutions.
  • Experience hiring and cultivating teams.
  • Experience developing new products and infrastructure, either in small companies or within the context of larger organizations. A mix of start-up and bigger company experience is a plus.
  • Experience working within geographically distributed organizations.
  • Experience building and cultivating strong engineering practices and processes.
  • Consistent track record of delivering scalable, high performance, and high quality software systems.
  • Broad understanding of various cloud development technologies and industry trends for enterprise-scale, distributed systems.
  • Strong technical acumen, creativity, interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence.
  • Knowledge of public cloud services such as AWS, GCP, Azure is a plus

Note:

Base Pay Range

India

Base Pay: INR 3,200,000.00 - 4,400,000.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
