EMEA Safety & Security Manager

Role:

At Splunk, the safety of our employees is our top priority. The Safety and Security team protects our people, assets and facilities across the globe. To accomplish our mission, we are seeking a Safety & Security Manager to lead our program and drive initiatives throughout EMEA. This role will report directly into the Sr. Manager Safety and Security.

You must be able to interact positively with partners across the full spectrum of business units and demonstrate ownership of deliverables. S/he is responsible for establishing a safe culture through training and awareness, setting policies and standards, consulting and supporting Splunk, and monitoring compliance. Additionally S/he will respond and assist with safety and security incidents throughout the region.

Responsibilities:

Strategic oversight for Environmental Health & Safety

  • Develop site specific health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Implement and manage daily oversight of health and safety procedures to ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Ensure compliance and maintain all health and safety documentation and risk assessments.
  • Assist the project team with managing on-site contractors and clients regarding health and safety requirements.
  • Conduct site Safety inspections.
  • Implement and oversee on-site H&S inductions, required training and drills.
  • Conduct investigations of accidents and near miss reports.
  • Manage regional Emergency Response Program including accurate and well communicated localized Emergency Response Plans.
  • Develop awareness materials and training.
  • Competent person in the UK for Health and Safety. Chair EMEA Safety Working Group and report into the Safety Committee.
  • Collaborate closely with the Wellbeing Team.
  • Collaborate closely with the Ergonomic Program.

Security Operations

  • Direct incidents that present threats to our people, property or operational capability.
  • Ensure that employee and business communications are accurate and timely.
  • Collaborate with partners (such as Facilities, Legal, and HR) to resolve risks.
  • Contribute to security policies and programs that enable business operations to protect our people, assets, and facilities.
  • Lead EMEA Event Security.

About you:

  • Minimum 7 years demonstrated experience in UK (HSE) /EMEA health and safety regulations and good practice.
  • HSE, IOSH or NEBOSH certification
  • Minimum 3 years experience in security management with validated experience building successful security operations programs.
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing crises and security incidents.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience of managing a program in a similar international organisation.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of security management in different geopolitical contexts.
  • Great demeanor and partner-facing attitude, including being reliable, effective, personable and efficient
  • Passionate about building and maintaining a safe and secure work environment for all Splunkers
  • Ability to balance multiple programs with limited oversight
