Splunk is looking for a seasoned leader to drive our Information Security Risk and Information Protection function. This position reports to the Splunk CISO and is critical to the overall security posture of Splunk and requires the ability to exercise influence at all levels of the company including executive level across diverse business units.


  • Lead and increase maturity across the risk management, security governance, customer and vendor trust programs.
  • Drive operational excellence and report on program performance
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to manage security risks, influence priorities and unlock strategic investments
  • Lead transformation to automate components of the risk management program, enabling effective and efficient risk prioritization, tracking, reporting, and remediation
  • Drive policy and risk governance in partnership with cross-functional security teams and risk management functions
  • Scale the Customer Trust program to support the Splunk Field organization and evolving product portfolio
  • Achieve effective and scalable management of vendor cyber risks while enabling business velocity
  • Provide updates to the Splunk Security Council on the cybersecurity program health and risk environment
  • Manage career paths and professional growth for risk management team members


  • 8+ years of experience in cyber security risk management or IT audit
  • Proven ability to lead high impact risk management functions
  • Practical experience driving cybersecurity governance and scaling risk management programs
  • Solid approach to execution and operationalization of cyber metrics
  • Experience supporting the Sales organizations in customer due diligence and technology sales
  • Understanding of scalable Vendor Risk Management practices and technologies
  • Deep understanding of cyber threats and mitigations for modern computing platforms
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with effective executive presence
  • Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship
