Splunk is seeking a Director Professional Services (PS) Global Subcontractor Strategy to improve our partner subcontractor ecosystem and enable achievable scale in conjunction with Splunk’s PS business. This individual will report into the Global PS Operations organization and have responsibility for directly leading a small team, as well matrix management for geographically focused PS Partner Managers across the globe.

Success in this role will be determined by the individual’s ability to develop an effective and scalable global subcontractor partner framework, streamline operating best practices, and ensure accurate resource capacity planning.


  • Engage with PS Leadership and other internal partners to formalize and drive a multi-year subcontractor strategy that aligns to PS business objectives.
  • Work closely with PS Partner Managers and partner vendors on an ongoing basis to understand in-region opportunities and challenges that can be solved for globally.
  • Establish clear performance standards and metric expectations for subcontractor partner organizations.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to analyze and streamline operational, administrative and reporting processes to improve, simplify and standardize workflows.
  • Represent and collaborate closely with internal partners on behalf of the global subcontractor partner team.
  • Drive and advocate for subcontractor enablement requirements with the Customer Success enablement/development organization.
  • Implement a communication strategy for the subcontractor partner ecosystem to ensure transparency, continuity, and alignment with internal Splunk PS delivery teams and processes.


  • Ability to outline and drive critical initiatives with minimal oversight and direction.
  • Working knowledge of consulting organization standard methodologies and standard operating procedures.
  • Experience leading in both a direct and matrix management capacity.
  • Aptitude to address opposing challenges and ability to appropriately prioritize, based on dynamic business conditions.
  • Sound understanding of business practices in Americas, EMEA and APAC.
  • Possess strong business analytical, contractual and interpersonal skills with a risk mitigation mentality.
  • The individual will have a strong sense of ownership and willingness to go above and beyond what is asked.
  • Formal Project Management certifications (ex:PMP) and the ability to converse in multiple languages are a plus.
