Understanding how infrastructure and systems impact user experience is critical as applications become distributed and more complex. Splunk Observability Cloud is a new generation of SaaS-based metric and application performance management solutions built via microservices and distributed applications to help engineers deliver better, faster, and more reliable applications. We're looking for a Director of Engineering to help lead a diverse team of engineers to build upon our monitoring experience platform as we continue to innovate on application observability. As a manager at Splunk, your primary role is to help your team reach its maximum potential through mentorship and coaching. You will bring a ton of empathy while holding the line of high quality and helping people grow. You will collaborate closely with your peers across all engineering areas as well as product management, program management, UX, and documentation cross-functional teams to help your team deliver success to our customers. Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $230,400.00 - 316,800.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $204,000.00 - 280,500.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $184,000.00 - 253,000.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
