Role

As the Director, Global Partner Operations, you will partner with the VP, Channel Chief and Global Partners and the leadership team responsible for Splunk’s Partner Programs and Routes to Market (sell, manage, service, build). Lead operational planning, design purpose-built programs, incentives, and policies for all channel motions in alignment to Splunk overall business objectives. Drive sales excellence & operations strategy, including reporting, business insights, and operating cadence on the financial and operating performance of the channel. You have a keen eye for prioritization, appreciation for simplification and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the execution of Partner Operations requirements for the channel routes to market (sell, manage, service, build). Work with Global Partner teams, General Managers, and regional Sales.
  • Advise on business performance through data-driven insights and analysis, and build strategies for sales and operational improvements.
  • Lead annual fiscal & operational planning, monthly and quarterly business reviews, develop business scorecards, manage and drive accountability to objectives and key results (OKRs)
  • Manage partner selling policy creation, terms, and pricing and discounting model for execution and roll out to the field and partners.
  • Lead compensation design to ensure sales incentives are accurately crafted and drives business results.
  • Manage a distributed team of partner strategy and operations individuals and support their career development.
  • Lead operational administration of partner joint-selling solutions such as Workspan, SFDC integration, etc. and work with regional Sales teams to implement critical channel initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Applications & Transformation Office to build, solution and implement new processes and capabilities in SFDC operations, SAP, and other systems related to Partner reporting and analytical needs.
  • Build a culture of operational excellence and accountability with high-fidelity data, strategic analysis, and business insights that support decision making.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Sales Excellence Operations roles and team management, with emphasis in supporting System Integrators, Resellers, and Managed Service providers in the Software industry. Preferably SaaS.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Operations or Business Administration
  • Proven experience in Business Operations or Finance gained within a fast-paced high-tech organization.
  • Bias for action and “builder” mentality, brings structure to disorganized processes. Meticulous, analytical, Customer-focused.
  • Ability to influence and work comfortably with senior executives and individual contributors across business, IT and Sales Ops areas.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau, Snowflake

Note:

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $190,400.00 - 261,800.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $172,800.00 - 237,600.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $156,800.00 - 215,600.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
