Splunk’s Customer Experience Data and Insights team helps provide the analytics used to build experiences that drive higher customer satisfaction, customer retention, new business growth and expansion.

We are looking for a critical thinker who is passionate about building and deploying the data models that power a world-class customer experience. He/she/they should be excited to work in a fast-paced environment.


  • Design and build data models and processes to measure the customer experience
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to gain a deeper understanding of the customer journey and customer attributes
  • Leverage statistical analysis and machine learning to understand the effectiveness of Splunk’s post-sale operating model
  • Partner with stakeholders on ways to improve the customer journey that enable the business to deliver continuous value to Splunk customers
  • Develop predictive analytics that identify customer situations that will deviate from the desired journey outcome
  • Collaborate with key partners from the Product and Engineering teams to understand the holistic data elements of product and customer sentiment insights
  • Deliver customer insights and analytics to help improve on customer experience and deliver ROI to customers
  • Create and deliver customer sentiment research analysis strategy and process
  • Unlock new opportunities for growth by discovering insights, automate processes, and predictive modeling


  • Outstanding quantitative background: PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Physics or other technical field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in solving complex business problems using advanced analytics, statistical analysis, machine learning, and algorithms that result in customer adoption, improved sentiment, and value realization
  • Thrives by working in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Comfortable working with loosely defined requirements where you exercise your creativity and analytical skills to deliver best in class solutions
  • Proficient in solving complex problems and communicating sophisticated results to leadership and stakeholders
  • Self-starter with a passion and curiosity for solving unstructured mathematical problems and ability to manipulate large data sets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, especially with articulating vision, planning, analysis process, and results in business terms.
