Communications Intern – Analyst Relations (Summer 2021)

Role

The Splunk Analyst Relations team is seeking an all-star applicant to come aboard as our 2021 Summer intern. We are looking for an organized and enthusiastic individual who is truly passionate about data and the power of data-driven insights to solve the world's really big problems.

In this role, you will support Splunk’s Analyst Relations (AR) program, enhancing and amplifying the work being done to win the hearts and minds of the industry analyst community across security, IT monitoring and operations, data platforms, cloud and multi-cloud platforms and more. A great fit for individuals interested in a future role in analyst relations, communications, PMM or marketing more broadly, this position will assist on key cross-functional projects intended to deepen analyst relationships and extend the impact of analyst research.

Responsibilities

  • Build a knowledge repository for AR, including key market insights and analyst quotes, designed to benefit the broader Splunk team
  • Partner with AR program leads to identify new analysts and areas of potential program growth
  • Support analyst engagements like briefings and inquiries, working with AR leads to surface analyst feedback to help guide the company’s strategy and direction
  • Independently own the analysis of key markets and competitor activity
  • Help manage quarterly reporting, showcasing the results and impact of the work done across AR
  • Assist in the curation and promotion of the AR team’s intranet page

Skill Requirements

  • Undergraduate with previous experience or coursework in communications or other relevant field
  • Proven project management skills; organized and able to effectively prioritize to tackle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent collaborator who is willing to pitch in on a variety of cross-marketing projects
  • Self-starter who proactively identifies new opportunities for the team
  • Curious and excited to learn more about analyst relations and Splunk

  • Current undergraduate student
