Cloud Release Manager

  • - Hybrid Remote

This position is eligible to apply ONLY for those who are currently in JAPAN with native or fluent Japanese capability.
As a member of the Cloud Release Management team, you’ll be responsible for the continuous delivery of releases supporting high-demand services used by the world’s largest enterprises to supervise their environments. You’ll demonstrate a combination of product management practices to define and PMO lead innovative initiatives passionate about customer experience, scalability, continuous delivery and release team development. You will also work closely with our Japan based customers and account teams to translate and communicate changes affecting their cloud environments.  

Who you are:

You are a multiplier, and constantly look for ways to make other teams successful. You understand that the success and development of the teams you interact with is essential to enabling continuous change. You'll take the lead in owning the release and product levels, which includes release plans, scheduling, coordinating, and managing releases across the fleet. You have strong critical thinking skills, are a self starter and excellent communicator, and pose validated supervise cordiality to build consensus across all levels.  
You combine customer emotional intelligence and your passion for adapting quickly to deliver frequent, high quality releases that benefit our customers and partners and empower our engineers.  

Responsibilities include:

  • You’ll use program management methodologies to plan, coordinate, and lead deployments of major product releases, patches, and changes in a SaaS environment.  
  • You’ll partner with account managers to translate platform operations activities into customer facing language and best practices  
  • You’ll collaborate with engineering program managers to be responsible for the fleet-wide releases for delivery while ensuring any issues are prioritized and resolved accordingly.  
  • Build release/implementation plans, coordinate with various engineering teams and to ensure successful and stable deployments.  
  • Supervise and measure critical metrics to report and influence organizational efficiency.  
  • Collaborate with engineers to understand the impact of changes.  
  • Develop relationships and coordinate with multiple teams and partners in multiple locations.  
  • Continually work towards process improvement in the release management process.  
  

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in a release management, Program Management, Project Management, PMO role.  
  • demonstrated ability using tools such as; JIRA, Confluence, Slack, SFDC.  
  • Knowledge of Cloud Platform such as; AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Ability to drive projects and programs to successful completion whether working solo or with large cross-functional teams.  
  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations, product and support teams.  
  • Facilitate and develop teams through changes in features, priority, and scope  
  • Native/Fluent Japanese language capability with Business English language level

Education:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or other related field or relevant professional experience.
