Responsibilities include building and expanding relationships with Federal Government customers, developing win strategies with System Integrators and Value Added Resellers to embed Splunk within their solutions, new program bids and existing programs. This individual must have extensive knowledge of the Federal Government procurement process.
The candidate will define, develop and execute the overall business development strategy and work with a cross-functional team to drive the development and marketing of Splunk software solutions. Familiarity with related programs…including planning, budget and execution processes, and acquisition strategies would be highly beneficial. Strong communication and presentation skills are required as well as the ability to demonstrate related data analytics products to potential and existing customers.
Key responsibilities include identifying and developing Federal Government business opportunities and business diversification initiatives, cultivating and maintaining strategic customer relationships; and articulating business development strategies and direction to senior management, articulating key customer requirements, conducting competitive analysis and market research.
Other specific duties will include: shaping assigned new business campaigns; monitoring campaign progress and execution through Key Performance Indicator metrics; proposing campaign structure where appropriate; work with a cross-functional team and partners as the proposal capture lead in responding to RFx; and protecting and growing established business.
The candidate must possess the ability to project and build business development, capture management, and lead proposal management teams. Position requires proven experience Federal Government operations and a strong familiarity with procurement organizations and processes. Strong leadership, writing and organizational skills are needed to cultivate, build and maintain customer relationships, internally and externally, critical to technology development and program capture.
