The oddest piece of Splunk-related news I’ve heard lately came in the form of this video (Mandarin Chinese) which apparently shows a Splunk app that helps people track down cheating spouses by analyzing phone records.
An individual developer from Taiwan, who happens to work for our APAC partner, built this app and started distributing it on his own – and seems to have created a bit of a stir, as you can see in the video. You don’t have to understand Chinese to know what Splunk is doing in that footage. Feel free to try the app yourself, although Splunk certainly claims no responsibility for what happens to your personal relationships! (“Angry Wife” app home page – in Chinese)
