It's .conf season again! From September 26th through 28th, Splunk will host its "superbowl" of events—.conf2017 in Washington D.C. If you're still contemplating attendance or never attended one before, I highly recommend you take a look at some of the highlights from .conf2016. When our customers attend either our SplunkLive! or Discovery Day events held across the country, they walk away with a ton of information on the value Splunk can offer and how it extends their investments further. Well, expect a magnitude more from this one event!
Hosted at the Walter Washington Convention Center, the event will bring 6,000+ professionals from across the globe for non-stop education, networking and fun. It's an opportunity to learn how customers in a variety of industries are leveraging Splunk, learn new features and how to use them, and network with your peers to collaborate and learn from each other.
With over 180 sessions featuring Splunk speakers, customers and partners, it can be a bit daunting to decide which sessions to attend. The list of sessions is posted on the .conf2017 website and allows you to filter by various attributes—your role, session type, tracks, skill level, industry and others.

To make it easy for you to manage your schedule, we have a session scheduler that you can access once you register. What's exciting is that we have over 35 sessions just from public sector speakers alone—double what we had last year! I know that even though you may be from a government agency or educational institution, you'll want to attend other sessions, so make sure you register early and take advantage of the session scheduler to optimize your .conf2017 experience.
Since the conference is held in Washington D.C., we have another special treat for public sector attendees. On Wednesday, September 27th, we've added a special track focused on public sector and education—an Industry Day we're calling GovDay—to enhance your Splunk experience. Packed with exciting panels, customer stories, best practices and a networking reception, it's a day you won't want to miss.
