Based in Boulder, Colorado, Krista was recently recognized as being a Splunker who most represents our corporate value of “Fun.” Her contributions bring humor and light-heartedness to work, she builds a sense of community with colleagues and fosters an atmosphere of positivity. Take a look below as she shares more about herself and what her day to day looks like.
Tell us a little about yourself.
Hello! My name is Krista. I am originally from California and have been living the "Rocky Mountain Way" for the past 2 years. I have been with Splunk for an exciting 7 months and love the company more and more each day. Prior to Splunk, I worked for a company called VictorOps which was acquired by Splunk in June of 2018. Things that keep me dancing are the outdoors, good people, good music, and good food. Combine them all and I am one happy lady.
What do you do every day (at Splunk)?
At Splunk, I run the daily operations of the office. This can be anything from maintaining meaningful relationships with my team to learn what people like and want more of around the office, organizing fun events like scavenger hunts and the holiday party, or collaborating in the design for our new office in Boulder.
What do you like about Splunk?
What I enjoy most about working with Splunk is the people. There are incredible humans in the organization that drive meaningful initiatives in order to create a very personal experience for its employees. Whether it is in regard to awesome holiday time, events, benefits for new families, giving back via Splunk4Good, or focusing on the integration experience for new applications of the business, Splunk has really put their best foot forward for their people.
What are your interests? What can we find you doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I love spending time with the people that make me laugh. I like to dance, travel, do yoga, climb, camp, bike, and snowboard. If it gets me outside, it will be a “Yes!” for me dawg.
