The time for EDUCAUSE 2017 is here. Starting October 31st, the ranks of IT and security in higher education will converge in Philadelphia for the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference, and Splunk will be there as well.
Higher ed institutions are increasingly at a crossroads. While we hear a lot about student outcomes and connected campuses that are conducive to learning as of late, it's more about institutional excellence that goes beyond just academics. In many cases, they are small cities, having to manage the universities with the same fervor and diligence—improve business efficiencies, tackle cyber and campus risk, meet compliance mandates, ensure constituent services and many more.
Splunk is committed to helping these educational institutions succeed in their missions by harnessing the power of their institutional intelligence to solve a variety of challenges—from keeping networks up and secure for a safe online experience, to boosting graduation rates by providing insights with learning analytics.
If you are attending EDUCAUSE 2017 we would love to talk to you about your priorities and how we might be able to help you meet your challenges. We will be at booth #925 showcasing how our platform can help universities better leverage their data to drive informed decisions through powerful, real-time insights in the pursuit of institutional excellence.
There will be several demonstrations and presentations at the booth hosted by both Splunk team members and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, one of Splunk’s customers. For more about what's in store for Splunk at EDUCAUSE, check out the full agenda of onsite activities.
We're excited one of our customers has been selected to speak at the conference; don't miss the presentation from Cam Johnson and Matt Bernacki of UNLV on “Increasing Student Success, Completion, and Retention through Machine Data and Predictive Analytics” on Thursday, November 2nd from 12:15pm to 1:15pm ET.
Soon after that, Cam and Matt will also join Splunk’s Richard Seidner on a panel on “Analyzing the Full Student Experience: The Powerful Intersection between Curricular, Co-Curricular, and Student Life Data” on Thursday, November 2nd from 1:30pm to 2:20pm ET.
If you're attending EDUCAUSE 2017, I encourage you to stop by our booth to learn more about how Splunk software is being used by more than 750 educational institutions worldwide.
We look forward to seeing you!
Until next time,
