Splunk Joins the Cisco Developer Network and Completes Cisco Interoperability Verification Testing for Secure Borderless Networks Systems
SAN FRANCISCO – June 24, 2010 – Splunk today announced that it has joined the Cisco Developer Network as a Registered Developer within Cisco's network security technology category. In addition, a Splunk solution offering, the Splunk for Cisco Security Solution, has successfully completed interoperability testing with the Secure Borderless Networks system Security Management products. This interoperability testing helps to ensure that Splunk easily works with data generated by Cisco's security products and Cisco's Security Monitoring, Analysis and Response System (MARS), helping customers meet key security business requirements, particularly around protecting sensitive data, compliance, and log management.
The Cisco Developer Network unites Cisco with third-party developers of hardware and software to deliver tested interoperable solutions to joint customers. As a Registered Developer, Splunk offers a complementary product offering and has started to collaborate with Cisco to meet the needs of joint customers. With offerings such as Splunk, customers can more quickly deploy Cisco's Data Security products to enhance the security, visibility, and management of their Secure Borderless Networks architecture.
* Interoperability testing is designed to simulate typical customer configurations, and does not replace the need for on-site testing in conjunction with actual implementation.
