SAN FRANCISCO – April 6, 2009 – Splunk, the IT Search company, today announced breakthrough results for its first quarter, ending March 31, 2009. The record-setting quarter witnessed a year-over-year growth rate of over 100 percent and the best quarter in company history. In combination with this explosive growth, the company announced 110 new customers in Q1 2009, increasing the customer count to 989 enterprise, service provider and government customers using Splunk IT Search to better troubleshoot outages, investigate security incidents and drive compliance.

During the quarter Splunk also made a number of strategic steps to better align resources with long-term business goals and help achieve its 2009 profitability target. These changes include streamlining the management structure and eliminating approximately 15 positions across the company.
