You could ftp the logs to one of the supported systems, or put the logs into a folder that you export via NFS and mount onto a supported system and index them that way, or you could use syslog or syslog-ng to send the logs to the Splunk server.

You do not need to be an existing customer to email support. An enhancement request means that we will take your information and request, add it to our ticketing system, and use it to make decisions about what we do to improve Splunk in the future, including possibly releasing an HPUX build.

Thanks,Araitz. By the way, does "enhancedment request" means we can soon get a copy of HPUX build after requesting it? Do I have to be a existing customer in order to email support? Thanks.

We don't have an HPUX build. If you email support at splunk dot com with your contact information, we can open an enhancement request for you.

Is there Splunk for HP-UX

Our environment is a HP-UX shop. Our Splunk server is a Linux machine. I would like to retrieve info from multiple logs (lik Oracle database Alert.log and other application logs) located on HP-UX servers. My understanding is that having splunk light forwarder installed and enabled on each HP-UX is the best way to do this. If so,I have two questions:
1. Does installing light forwarder mean a full installation of splunk instance on each HP-UX server which we collect info from?
2. From Splunk download website,I don't see any Splunk binary for HP-UX. Does it mean Splunk does not support installation on HP-UX yet?

Thanks
Chunhui
