Excellent!!! This works great... except... :-) It removes everything in the log entry prior to that ... Also tried this... no worky: REGEX = ^\<CREDIT\>(\d{9})\d*$ I think you are correct... my REGEX skills are NILL. I cobbled together some stuff from the web and ... I also tried using the host directive instead. Didn't work.: [host::www.mywebsite.com] TRANSFORMS-anonymize ... I need to mask credit card data in my logs. I tried to follow the directions from here (http://www.splunk.com/base/Documentation/3.4.5/Admin/MaskSensitiveDataInAnEvent) ... |

Actually, you're right! Splunk is placing my entries 6 hours and 18 minutes in the past.

Good guess, but I think the times are ok. If I search ALL time, I still only see the file headers for ... **To summarize once more...** 1) When I view the main dashboard, my SystemOut.log source shows millions ...
