I've been reading the guides on how to add an ODBC data source into Splunk but strangely there's no database table input option in the data inputs section. Any ideas?

I'm guessing the answer to this is nobody knows then as nobody here nor the relevant people from Splunk can advise me.

You can use a scripted input to access your data source via ODBC and send events to Splunk to be indexed. We do not have an ODBC input out of the box.
