At the moment, we only have the trial version of Splunk 4 available--a free license will be coming soon. However, we wanted to make sure that everyone had the opportunity to test the new user based customization features--and we needed a little more time to get the Free licensing completed. So for the next couple of months, we're offering everyone a 60 trial of the enterprise version. If you prefer, 3.4 remains available with a Free license: http://www.splunk.com/page/previous_releases

I've been using Splunk 3 with a free license for a while and love it. After upgrade to version 4, I got the trial license which turned on a bunch of features unnecessary for me which really slow me down (such as login.) Is there any way to get rid of the trial license? I tried deleting it, but it just reset back to 60 days after restart.
Thanks.
