The following issues have been addressed in this release:

3.x deployment clients no longer crash when contacting a 4.x Splunk instance. (SPL-25381, SPL-25466)
Splunk will now move aside your 3.x license and replace it with a temporary 4.x Enterprise trial license so that your system continues to run while you procure your updated license from your splunk.com orders page. (SPL-25422)
Splunk will now correctly identify the product version in Splunk Web upon startup. (SPL-24954)
Creating inputs to Windows UNC shares now works correctly in Manager. (SPL-25352)
Private views are no longer deleted when you clone them without specifying a name. (SPL-25320)
Distributed search results will no longer be delayed if one or more search peers has minimal data for the given time period. (SPL-25313)
Distributed search now functions after disabling SSL. (SPL-25276)
Saved search errors in the *Nix App have been resolved. (SPL-25253)
The RegNtPostSetKeySecurity and RegNtPostQueryKeySecurity Windows security events are now captured correctly when monitoring the Windows Registry. (SPL-25243)
Setting the traditional Splunk 3.x value SPLUNK_BINDIP in splunk-launch.conf will no longer prevent SplunkWeb from starting. (SPL-25343)
