Splunk Education
Whether you just downloaded Splunk, or have been using it a long time, Splunk Education has courses that will help you get the most out of Splunk. Our courses are concise and structured for rapid learning. We offer instructor-led classes via virtual classroom and at your site. And we offer take-whenever self guided lessons.
Self-guided
Before or after a class - or at any other time - you can take our self-guided lessons. These 10-15 minute sessions focus on one discrete topic. They supplement and enhance formal learning. And best of all - they are free! We will be building out a full library, so keep coming back here. For now, try out our first class, Correlation with subsearches. We schedule delivery of the complete Splunk curriculum at least once a month. The classes are delivered via virtual classroom with remote labs. The virtual classes are taught in two to four-hour segments. This allows you to attend remotely and have time in the day for your job or extra lab work. Learn more about our virtual classroom. These instructor-led classes are available virtually and may also be taught at your site.
Using Splunk
This 2.5 hour course prepares users to get the most out of searching, navigating, alerting and reporting with Splunk. It's recommended for anyone in your organization who needs to look at IT data - from help desk staff to systems administrators and developers.
Administrating Splunk
This six-hour course prepares systems administrators to configure and manage Splunk servers. It covers configuring data inputs and data routing, user accounts and data management policy as well as basic troubleshooting and monitoring. It's recommended for systems administrators who will be in charge of ongoing management of Splunk. Using Splunk is a prerequisites.
Deploying Splunk
This one-day workshop focuses on designing a Splunk deployment. You will learn to assess your IT search requirements, design a Splunk topology, perform capacity planning and decide on indexing, security, and data management strategies. Using Splunk and Administrating Splunk are prerequisites.

This 1-day course provides in-depth training on Splunk's architecture and APIs. It covers customizing, integrating and extending Splunk and includes hands on labs. It is designed for experienced programmers and includes examples in C/C++, HTML/CSS/XSLT, REST and the Unix/Linux shell. Using Splunk and Administrating Splunk are prerequisites for this course.
